The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has received 26 applications from companies for the telecom equipment and design production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme, senior officials said.
They added that 14 companies have applied for the second leg of telecom equipment PLI while 12 applications have been received for the new design-linked manufacturing plan. Thursday was the last date to submit applications for the schemes.
As per officials, while Samsung is a new entrant to the telecom PLI, a few existing firms have migrated to the design-linked manufacturing scheme.
