The Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme was first launched in 1999 and is set to end on March 31, 2022. The Central Government has plans to introduce a new scheme titled Textile Technology Development Scheme to replace the old scheme in the upcoming Union Budget. The massive Rs. 16,600-crore scheme will increase innovation, job creation, compliance, and sustainability.
